Education network „Danube-Networkers“ founded

„Heimatland - Donauland" was the title of a meeting supported by ViLE e.V. that took place in July 2008 in Ulm with 40 participants from all countries along the Danube, from Germany till Ukraine. The host was the Zentrum für Allgemeine Wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung (ZAWiW) of Ulm University and the members of ZAWiW's working group  „Europakontakte", in which senior students engage in contacts and cooperation with seniors' groups from other European countries. The seminar took place under the patronship of the Social Minister of baden-Württember Dr. Monika Stolz and was the starting event of the education network „Danube-Networkers", that should foster cooperation of organisations of seniors' education and seniors' groups along the Danube and should give impulses for the improvement of seniors' education.
