Danube-Networkers
Intercultural encounters
Text: Jozef Liptak
The Danube river is indeed often the border river between some states. But it is from time immemorial, connecting link among many countries and peoples. Danube more unites them than divides. On the banks of the Danube river people live. Just this humane size of "common" and "linking" in the project Danube Networkers have attracted me. In this project, all participants from the Danube river area (from its source in Germany to its estuary into the Black Sea in Romania) present known and often lesser-known sights and attractions of their part of Danube, which we maybe couldn´t know either. Through this project we get to know other natural beauty, many attractions and sights of the Danube countries. A further human factor, there is mutual understanding of participants, when they visit each other. So I end with the sentence of president Kennedy, who said it visiting Berlin: "We are all one family." I’d like also thank for the project, because although we are from different countries, we became more than one family. Thank you for this project idea, thank you for being one of the participants.
