The project was a new experience for us. Some of us didn’t had for years opportunity to travel abroad. In principle, we read very much, wath television, but that all can not compare with the actual contact and direct impressions. For us, it was interesting to see what the seniors in other Danube countries do, how they live. It was also fascinating that the participants in the project are so interested and active in all activities. In our country is unfortunately no public policy that relates to the elderly and there are almost no activities in this area.
In our international project meeting we could feel culture and traditions of the countries we visited. It was for us to raise a challenge, memories of our childhood or young years, somehow connected with the river. It was also very nice and amaising that so much in common can be found between our stories and the stories and experiences of people from other countries, that the feelings, the Danube makes us all are so similar.
We think the idea for the interactive nature monument card is very nice. This was an impetus for us to learn more about beautiful and valuable places in our country, to learn many new things about already known or famous places in the other Danube countries. That was a possibility, to see the already known from another view point.
For most of us the term "project" was something unknown and unclear. Now we know what's behind it. This is also a new knowledge for us. We are convinced that the EU projects contribute much to the intercultural skills and the new international contacts. We would like to participate in the development and realization of other project ideas. We find the ideas given by the Hungarian group, very interesting. We would add one more: Danube - a way to spread of urban fashion, everyday life and culture.
The only very difficult thing for us which has disturbed our work was the lack of language skills. It's really a pity that we could talk and correspond directly with the other project participants.
